Despite the photo, this item is not a genuine Merkur leather DE travel case – as the Dovo Solingen logo on the snap may lead you to believe. I purchased this case based on the photo and wish I’d read the description more thoroughly. I have 2 Merkur Leather Travel Sheath for Safety Razors and there is a noticeable difference in quality between those and this item. This leather case should suit your purpose if you just want a case for your DE razor, but don’t let the photo fool you if you’re looking for a true Merkur case.

I own a Merkur Futur razor. I’m usally concerned about leaving the razor out because of little hands, well no more. This case fits perfectly with no bulk at all. I thought maybe it would add some bulk to an already pretty large shaver but I was wrong, just like a layer of skin!
Regardless of your traveling frequency, if you own a safety razor, BUY THIS–REAL GOOD PRICE.
Grip: the ad I bought the case from pointed towards this case being made by Merkur. ( Merkur’s ensignia on the cases button) the one I got had a plain button BUTTT, WHO CARES, STILL GREAT QUALITY, but plain snap.
