here comes the flood, by peter gabriel
late night road trips are one of the best places for creative project discussions (next to a good diner, of course). i recently enjoyed just such a night drive from los angeles to san jose with my friend and director, jess brillhart. she had just wrapped her part on the fox reality show, “the lot”, wanted some downtime in the bay area and, i suspect, an iPhone. we talked about the current state of media and i went on a rant about youtube being the future of everything. we talked about this flood of talented people creating for themselves and sharing with the world, we talked about how best to promote what we love to do and, of course, we talked about peter gabriel. all good road trips must contain peter gabriel. this video came about from this full moon drive. i don’t claim to know what peter originally wrote this song about but the line, “the actor’s gone, there’s only you and me” struck a chord with us. we hope it resonates with you as well. use it as a mantra, if you like. there’s only you and me… there’s only you and me… thanks for listening, timothy and jess please check out more of jess’ work at: www.youtube.com
