Just got these bags and they equal the quality of bags sold in stores for $. 99; might even be a little thicker fabric. I got these from Amazon for under $9. 00 so I think I got a great deal!
As for the complaints about them, those are all ‘user errors’ and should not lessen the rating on the quality of the bags. Be careful with any zippered bag full of stuff; I’ve had expensive cooler’s heavy zippers break and pretty soon the bag persons will get used to the little loop. If somebody starts to throw my bag away will hear from me in a heartbeat! They need to accept that we’re seriously going green and adjust their attitude or lose customers. If I get grief from a bagger he/she will be reported because most people want to help this planet. I loathe those plastic store bags and it’s more harmful to kill trees to make paper ones than it is to recycle the plastic ones. Using these Earth friendly bags is one little thing, in the big picture, that even one little person can do to help – and there’s millions of us. Anyway, we’re going to soon be scorned and get a sneer for not using our own bags.
I have grandkids that I really want to have a viable place to have their own grandkids.

I rated these bags based on the price that I paid for them, which was just over a buck apiece. I would be less pleased if I had paid full price for them.
On two of the bags, the little loop was already loose when I received them. Manufacturer quality control doesn’t look to be too thorough.
The fabric is lightweight but sturdy, and the handles are attached well. I have encountered no problems with grocery baggers not understanding how to set them up – it just might be that baggers are getting more accustomed to shoppers bringing their own bags.
No way do the grocery bags hold three times more than a plastic bag. Maybe the manufacturer got that figure from calculating relative volume in cubic inches of space, but it’s not a realistic figure. If you filled the bag up to the rim, it would either spill on the way home, or be too heavy to easily manage.
I was hoping that the beverage bag would hold half gallons of milk, but neither the plastic or cardboard variety of milk containers will fit in the spaces. The fit was close – just a tiny bit more space would have allowed half gallon milk jugs to easily fit. (This is something that I wish manufacturers would think about. A milk carrier would be a great item to have. ) One of the other reviewers stated some doubt about the beverage carrier being sturdy enough to hold six glass bottles – I have a tendency to agree with that thought.
Only time will tell how these bags hold up over the long run.

I bought this collection almost entirely foe the wine tote as I was so guilty for the number of paper and plastic bags involved in the average purchase. This has worked out very well, and the other bags are handy for the grocery store. The bags are a little small, but if you don’t over pack are sufficient.

The bags are durable, a pleasant green color, and have a much greater strength than disposable grocery bags that, as I understand it, making Mother Earth weep her tears of lava or glacier run-off or whatever she’s crying these days.

What I love the most about this set is the insulated bag. It comes in handy in so many ways
I am amazed at how much I can fit into the insulated bag. I have been using it over over a month now boh for shopping and taking things to work and have had not problem with the zipper even though it has been heavily weighted down.
It is nice to have a set of bags that all match and with a total of 7 there is enough for both the car and the truck
they are light weight and appear to be fairly durable
they have a flat bottom
the fabric is stiff enough for the top to stay open when packing or unpacking items yet soft enough to fold flat for storage
