“When You Believe” is the Official Movie Soundtrack of Prince of Egypt. In the film, this song of inspiration is performed by the characters Tzipporah (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Miriam (sung by Sally Dworsky). The protagonists of this ballad recall tough times that have them questioning their faith: they have prayed for many nights to God but those prayers seem to remain unanswered, and they wonder if they are wasting their time. Nevertheless, they realize that although times may be difficult …

    The thing about how Moses was gone at the time they arrived at Jericho is true, but Joshua was not very nice either XD

    Exodus 32:11
    Then he said to them, This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor. 28The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.

    @Flyingtart’s older comment.

    I just had to point this out: Moses would never kill his own people. And he was gone (taken into heaven like Elijah was later) by the time the Hebrews got to Jericho.

    “Just google it”? Seriously? Since when was Google the main source of viable information? Should I Google Bigfoot and believe everything I read about it? What about aliens?

    i agree to that’s Even if you don’t see anything happening yet believe it will be happened just realy little bye little that s we don’t notice which is how people lose faith

    wouldnt it be amazing if people sung this rather than shameful pop songs

    i would think this would be amazing in mass like if the mormon tabernacle choir sung the chorus

    I LOVE THIS VERSION because there is more feelings especially when those children sang. it gives me the chills. Thats why I think it feels more sincere for listeners. But mariah carey and whiney houston vocals are undeniably fabulous!

    this one is more. . . honest than the mariah/whitney version which is a bit too modern for my taste. both are amazing but i prefer this one.

    Michelle Pfeifer was Tzipporah’s voice, I would say she’s pretty famous.

  • GranRuc says:

    i agree with those last comments, i like this version more than mariah and whitney one. . . it sounds. . . more natural. . . . whitney and mariah (no offence) seem to be forcing the voice

  • MrJrejoy777 says:

    this is best than that mariah one
